A Tale of Two Spits

Gosh, I'm so crap at updating this blog. I'm trying..
Honest!

OK. So...For Christmas I got a new Spit the Dog. Whoo hoo!
I already had one from Christmas 1978 and he has been my faithful companion throughout the years. My old Spit was very much loved because he was the fall back present that year. Well. I was expecting a Grifter bike or a replacement Chopper. What did I get? A red girly fold-up bike. I'll say no more on the matter except I wasn't impressed. Alongside the abominable excuse for this bike was..Spit. His insides have fallen out a bit so he is more saggy and baggy but, I love him. BUT, this new Spit is something special because he makes the *proper* Spit sound!!! It's brilliant. I'd never part with them. To the grave they will go with me.

Dan and The Chow-Ling

This is Joe's little brother, Danni cuddling his most favourite animal and best friend, Chow. We are going to watch Beverly Hills Chihuahua on Saturday and he is so excited...mind you his mum (my mother-in-law) wants us to take Chow too. No Way! He'd probably bark at the screen and then we'd get chucked out. He is small enough to fit in a bag...mmm....

Alex

Oh dear...I have already sinned and not updated the blog for a week. I'm afraid it has been a combination of illness, Alex's 19th birthday and Joe's Cousin Sam was visiting from Washington..so a very busy week. I'll just have to make up for it!

So - to catch up. The Birthday Boy and his baby sister, larking around whilst waiting for dinner at Ansty Hall. I still can't believe I have an adult child. Sheesh.

Bird or Fish?

This was a Christmas gift from a relative and it is lovely. It's a little wooden jigsaw puzzle box but currently the family is divided on whether it is a fish or a bird. It looks very bird shape to me...

Fecking CAT!

Mog did it! We have tried all sorts to try and stop the cat scratching at this sofa and even bought those unsightly sticky strips which apparently deters them. Do they, pah!
